| Title : Finding Solutions to Our Problems Author : Mac Saarman Date : 2010-03-31 14:51:03 No. : 1 |
 | We all have problems. We all want to find solutions. Most want solutions to come out of nowhere and without headaches.
Few are willing to understand that almost any solution needs at least a few steps that can make a problem in parts easier to "digest".
Problem solving is one of the defining processes for human beings and we are naturally equipped with the cognitive resources to cope. The problems are not only frequent but also necessary. Read "obstacles" rather than "problems". As the body needs physical challenges to keep fit, we need intellectual and emotional challenges for training a healthy and active mind.
Where blockages occur which hinder us to overcome obstacles? Most times, the path is blocked when the mind is self-bombed with scenarios like "the worst", with negative projections and misinterpretation of the situation. The effects are as: disproportionate reactions, no explanation and reason.
It is only one way of looking at things, like when the illusionist at work, actually we expect to be misled. Storm of negative thinking that makes us hit a reasonable challenge in a mixture of helplessness, bewilderment, shame or fear that no magic wand can disentangle.
The belief that problems could solve that by magic tend to hinder the situation.
First, is a great to stay aware of yourself. How, as if we ever forget this thing? You would be amazed. So, in crisis situations, breathe, wait a few seconds rather than throw headlong and awareness.
If you succeed to properly inspect the reality and you have found this picture, means that already possess fairly calm and start to think productively. Stay in your shoes, even if you would like to be elsewhere.
Thinking "all or nothing". Example: if I fail to quit smoking now, I will never succeed! Nothing is perfect, especially human life. You fell once? Stand up and take it over again. or, better, try to avoid falls, it's always good to repeat the same trick.
